In October, FOX 5 was invited to attend Rotelle's birthday party in Senoia at the senior center on Howard Road.
"He is quite a character," Senoia Mayor Larry Owens told us ahead of Rotelle's passing.
At the party, Rotelle told FOX 5 a few things factored into him living such a long life.
"I've been walking the whole time, I walk every day," he said. "I used to walk five miles, but now I'm down to half a mile every day."
Rotelle also said he enjoyed eating vegetables, but his best secret was enjoying a shot of whiskey every day with coffee.
"A shot of whiskey will help ya," Rotelle said. "That's all I can tell ya."
