Court docs: teacher took photos up skirts

NORWALK, Conn. (AP) — A former teacher at a Connecticut high school is facing charges for allegedly taking "upskirt" photos and videos of female students. Former Brien McMahon High School languages teacher David Marchetti was charged last week with voyeurism and risk of injury to a minor.

The Hour reports that according to court records, school administrators and police received complaints from students at the Norwalk school in May that Marchetti, 30, had been seen taking cellphone photos and videos from an "upward angle from the bottom of shorts and skirts."

Marchetti was placed on administrative leave May 5. He resigned June 30.

Marchetti's lawyer says it would be premature to jump to any conclusions and voyeurism cases are challenging.

Marchetti is free on $25,000 bond and is due in court Friday.
