Cops: Man has body in trunk, drugs in rectum

Authorities in Texas arrested a man after finding the body of a woman in the trunk of a road rage suspect's car.

It happened Sunday morning in Kaufman County.  A group of four people said a man in another car had fired a gun at them while they were driving on Highway 80.

Deputies chased the suspect on Interstate 20 until he crashed.   He was identified as 33-year-old Freddie Gilbert of New Orleans and taken into custody without incident.

Investigators said the body in the trunk was discovered as deputies were searching Gilbert’s car.

The Dallas County Medical Examiner's office will make a positive identification and determine her cause of death.

No injuries were reported in the road rage incident.

In addition to charges related to the road rage case, Gilbert is also facing drug charges from when he was booked into jail.

An affidavit reportedly says two plastic bags, one believed to contain crack cocaine and a second with marijuana, fell out of his anal cavity as he was being searched..

Gilbert is expected to face more charges as the investigation continues.
