Cops: Girl raped by man she met on Snapchat

NEW YORK (FOX5NY) - Police on Long Island say they have arrested a man who they say raped a girl he friended on Snapchat.

Nassau County Police arrested Javier Morales, 28, of Brooklyn.  they say he engaged in a Snapchat conversation with a 14 year old girl and then arranged to meet her several times and engaged in sexual intercourse.

After an investigation, police arrested Morales on Wednesday, December 13 in Elmont.

Morales is charged with Criminal Sexual Act 1st Degree and Rape 2nd Degree.  He was arraigned on Thursday in Hempstead.

Detectives request any victims that have had contact with Morales to contact the Special Victims Squad at 516-573-4022.   Police say that all callers will remain anonymous.
