Coolio serves his special chili for a cause

Grammy Award-winning artist Coolio served up food at Hill Country Barbecue Market for a cause close to his heart -- the Jarez Music Foundation, a nonprofit that supplies schools with music equipment.

Then Coolio took it to a VIP dining room where he talked about his cooking and his passion for music.

While the audience enjoyed their food, Coolio taste-tested his own chili recipe made by the Hill Country chef. Host Stephanie Smith coaxed him into giving up the secret ingredients.

He also had copies of his book available for those who needed more culinary help and inspiration.

Coolio believes cooking is a lot like making music: you start with the ingredients, and then make something special.
