Buses crash inside Lincoln Tunnel

At least 23 people are injured after two buses collided in the center tube of the Lincoln Tunnel  at about 9 a.m.All traffic is being diverted to the south tube.

Port Authority Police spokesman Joe Pentangelo says the door on one bus had to be cut open and the injuries are not considered life-threatening.

NJ Transit spokeswoman Lisa Torbic says a 127 Line bus headed from Ridgefield rear-ended a 128 Line bus out of Fairview.

Motorists heading into New York are facing delays of more than one hour.
