To celebrate the return of its iconic Hunting Cans, Busch Light is offering one lucky fan the ultimate prize: a legal name change to "Hunter" and beer money for 19 years’ worth of Busch Light.

The backstory:

According to the brand, once a prized name, Hunter is now nearly extinct — its popularity has dropped 93% in just five years.

The brand will cover all legal name-change costs and provide beer money for 19 years’ worth of Busch Light Hunting Cans, giving one 21+ fan the chance to officially become "Hunter."

What they're saying:

"Hunters are dedicated, passionate, and always up for the thrill of the chase — and that same spirit drives us at Busch Light," Krystyn Stowe, Head of Marketing for Busch and Natural Family at Anheuser-Busch, said in a news release. "With the return of our Hunting Cans, we wanted to honor that commitment by inviting fans to take their love for the sport to the next level. It’s how we’ve built such strong connections with our community, especially in top hunting states like Arkansas, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin, where Busch Light is the #1-selling beer."

What you can do:

From now to October 13, fans aged 21 and over can show their dedication to the hunt by following Busch Light on X, Facebook, or Instagram and posting that they’re ready to legally change their name to "Hunter."

Eligible posts using the hashtags #BecomeAHunter and #Sweepstakes will enter fans for a chance to win the ultimate Hunter’s prize pack.

What if your name is already Hunter?

Already named Hunter — or thinking about becoming one? This fall, Busch Light will bring together fans for one of the largest private gatherings of Hunters ever, taking place November 16 in Appleton, Wisconsin — a top destination for hunting enthusiasts. The event will feature ice-cold Busch Light Hunting Cans, exclusive merch giveaways, fan-favorite hunting games, and an appearance from the brand’s iconic Busch Guy.

From now to October 27, 21+ fans named Hunter, those considering the name change, and devoted hunting or Busch Light fans can RSVP at www.busch.com/HunterGathering. The exact venue and timing will remain a surprise — revealed only to selected attendees to preserve the spirit of the hunt.
