Brawl breaks out at NJ mall

NEW JERSEY (FOX5NY) - Police in responded to a brawl that started in a mall food court and spilled into the parking lot.

It happened at the Bridgewater Commons mall in Somerset County.  Police got the call just before 6:30 p.m.

Officials say that Bridgewater Mall security workers were able to separate the individuals involved in the altercation  which continued onto the exterior parking lot area of the mall. As officers were responding, a call of shots fired was reported to police.

The reports of shots were not immediately conformed by police and that is under investigation.

Bridgewater Police officers along with Detectives from the Bridgewater Police Department and the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office were on the scene to conduct the investigation.

There were no injuries reported and no arrests were made.
