Boy, 10, takes family car, leads police on a high-speed chase
CLEVELAND, Ohio (FOX 13) - A 10-year-old Ohio boy led highway patrol troopers on a high-speed chase with a wild conclusion.
Dash cam video from the Ohio State Highway Patrol shows troopers chasing a silver car driven by the rogue 10-year-old.
The little boy speeds through a ditch, likely hoping to avoid the troopers’ patrol vehicles.
But the joyride comes to an end when his family car gets stuck and slides into a highway sign.
Police say it all started when the 10-year-old took the family's car from his home on in Cleveland Thursday morning.
The boy led Westlake officers on a chase through Lorain and Erie counties.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol took over the chase once the boy entered the Ohio turnpike.
But he was ultimately stopped and taken into custody, but there’s no word on what charges, if any, the boy will face.
