Bobcat released back into wild after being hit by a car
CITRUS PARK, Fla. - A bobcat that was being nursed back to health after being hit by a car in Citrus Park now has his freedom.
The bobcat had to undergo surgery at Busch Gardens Tampa after being rescued by the Owl Nest Sanctuary for Wildlife.
He had a broken humerus and needed a rod placed in his leg. He recovered with the Animal Care Team at Busch Gardens and finally, he was released back into the wild Friday.
At first he didn't know it was time to run free, but after opening up the door and taking the top off the carrier, he made a run for it and never looked back.
