Austin police: Runaway sisters found, are safe

AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - UPDATE:  Both sisters have been located and are safe. 

 

 

Police are searching for a 14-year-old who ran away from home and took her 7-year-old sister with her. APD is concerned about their safety due to their young age.

According to the Austin Police Department, 14-year-old Hiba Rashid and 7-year-old Rahaf Rashid were last seen in their home in the 600 block of Masterson Pass on Monday, May 27, 2019.

Police were alerted about their disappearance on Tuesday, May 28, 2019. 

Hiba is described as:

  • Middle Eastern/Asian female
  • 4’10”
  • 88 lbs.
  • Black hair
  • Brown eyes

Rahaf is described as:

  • Middle Eastern/Asian female
  • 3’6”
  • 40 lbs.
  • Black hair
  • Brown eyes
