Attorneys: Cosby accusers are grateful for charges
ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — Attorneys for dozens of women who have accused Bill Cosby of sex assault or attempted molestation say their clients are grateful that a prosecutor in Pennsylvania has brought charges against the comedian.
Spencer Kuvin represents model Chloe Goins. She alleges Cosby incapacitated her with a drink and assaulted her at the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles in 2008.
Kuvin says charges are still possible with Los Angeles prosecutors.
Cosby has denied the allegations and filed a counter claim in federal court against seven women who have sued him alleging defamation for calling them liars.
Kathy McKee, a casting director who alleges Cosby raped her in the early 1970s when she was an actress, says she's relieved and believes there are more victims who may speak out now.
