Armed home invasion in Bay Shore

BAY SHORE, N.Y. (AP) — Suffolk County police say they're investigating an armed home invasion in Bay Shore that resulted in injuries to two people. Two men followed the resident and her friend into the house at around 9:30 p.m. Thursday.

They restrained the women, the resident's boyfriend, and her 12-year-old son with zip ties.

They ransacked the home for about three hours and took cash from the resident's purse.

Then they fled in her car. It was found early Friday.

The resident and her boyfriend received hospital treatment for facial injuries.

A shot was fired inside the house, but nobody was hit.
