Anti-Semitic attack in Brooklyn

Police are looking for 4 young men in connection with a group hate crime attack on a Jewish man in Brooklyn.

The NYPD says the attack took place about 1 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2019 on Broadway and Lynch Street in the Williamsburg section.

The 42-year-old victim, wearing traditional religious attire, was walking westbound on Broadway when he was assaulted by the group.  Police say the attackers also made anti-Semitic comments towards the man.

After the attack, they took off on foot eastbound on Broadway.

The victim sustained bruising and swelling to his face but did not seek medical attention.

The NYPD's Hate Crime Task Force is investigating.  Three male Hispanics, early 20's wearing all black. One male Black, early 20's, wearing a black du-rag and gray sweat suit.
