Angry customer attacks spa employees

A spa customer who was allegedly upset because he was told he couldn't get "extra services" after his foot massage dragged an employee and threatened others with a hammer.

The NYPD says it happened Thursday at Tao Spa Bodywork in Queens.

Police say the man demanded a refund from the 55-year-old female employee. When she told him they wouldn't give him one, he took out a hammer and demanded money.

The man dragged the employee out of the room and to the waiting area where he punched her in the face.

The woman ran to the back of the spa and three other female employees confronted the man in the waiting area.

Police say he grabbed one of the three woman, who is 56-years-old, by the throat and shoved her against the wall. He then threatened the other two with the hammer.

The employees gave the man $40 in the hopes that he would leave. He took the money and then smashed open a piggy bank that was on the counter. He took some coins and cash from the broken container and took off.

The victims were treated at the scene by EMS.

Police say the suspect is Hispanic, 20 to 30-years-old, 5'6", 160 pounds, with black hair.  He was last seen wearing a gray hooded coat, dark colored jeans, tan work boots and he had on a light colored backpack.
