All-clear given to Newark Airport after suspicious package found

The all-clear has been given at Newark international Airport following a suspicious package scare.

The Port Authority announced the suspicious package is not a threat, and it has been cleared -- meaning it appears everything is safe.      

This all happened just before 5:00 p.m.

Newark Liberty on this holiday weekend, filled with people, when authorities found a suspicious package.

Almost immediately, they decided to evacuate the building.

By about 6 p.m., they determined this package was not a threat.

The evacuation of Newark’s Terminal A building was done as a precaution.

As of this moment, they tweeted out that it's been cleared, but passengers should expect delays.

No injuries have been reported.
