Above-ground subways resume service
NEW YORK (FOX5NY) - All above-ground subway stations that closed at 4 a.m. on Tuesday because of the snow storm are set to reopen at 6 p.m., according to Gov. Andrew Cuomo. The subway lines that run below ground stayed up and running. Service on Metro-North Railroad will also resume at that time.
Service on MTA bus and Long Island Rail Road was affected, too. Service may be suspended.
Cuomo declared a statewide state of emergency starting at midnight.
