83-year-old accused of setting fires over security deposit

HALLSTEAD, Pa. (AP) - Police in Pennsylvania say an 83-year-old man started several fires at his former apartment building because he told them he was upset he didn't get a security deposit back.

Vincent Dallessandro has been charged with arson after police say he was seen in surveillance video in his electric wheelchair throwing two burning bags and starting a dumpster fire earlier this month at the building in Hallstead, near the New York state border.

Officials tell the Standard-Speakers newspaper he told them he was upset he didn't get his security deposit back after moving out.

No attorney is listed for Dallessandro in court documents and no phone number is listed for him. He's been released on bail.
