5-year-old boy killed after being hit by car in Queens

QUEENS - A 5-year-old boy was killed Saturday night after being hit by a driver in Queens, police said.

It happened in College Point on 124th Street around 6 p.m.

Police say it appears that the child ran into the road and was hit by the car.

He was rushed to the hospital with head injuries and pronounced dead.

The 25-year-old driver remained at the scene.

No charges have been filed.
