2 men, 1 woman killed in NYC shootings

NEW YORK (AP) — Authorities say three people have been shot and killed in two separate shootings in New York City.

Police responding to a 911 call around 3 a.m. Sunday at Targee Street and Vanderbilt Avenue on Staten Island found one man with a gunshot wound to the torso and another who had been shot in the back. They were taken to area hospitals where they were pronounced dead.

They were identified as Terrell Ford, 27, and Justin Ford, 28.

Police in the Bronx found a woman shot in a car outside a building on Morris Avenue shortly before 8 a.m. Sunday. She had been hit in the head while sitting in the passenger seat. No identification for her had been released.

No arrests have been made in either case.
