2 cops among injured in building fire
NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - Nine people were injured in an early morning fire in East Harlem.
The fire started at about 2 a.m. on the second floor of a five-story building at 114 East 116th St.
Two of those injured are NYPD officers. One of the officers and a civilian suffered serious injuries. Seven others suffered minor injuries.
It took about 60 firefighters thirty minutes to put out the blaze in the five-story building.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
