15 injured in Lincoln Tunnel bus crash
NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - A New Jersey Transit bus rear-ended another New Jersey Transit bus inside the Lincoln Tunnel heading to New York, leading to delays, Monday morning.
One bus driver and 14 passengers were injured, said Port Authority of New York and New Jersey spokesman Steve Coleman.
None of the injuries was believed to be life-threatening.
The route 114 bus struck the route 190 bus inside the center tube at around 7:30 a.m.
As a result, the center tube was closed and didn't reopen until about 9 a.m.
SkyFoxHD was over the scene where two buses outside the tunnel in Manhattan were parked off to the side.
People were seen getting off at least one of the buses. At least five were placed onto stretchers.
Delays were up to two hours at the inbound Hudson River crossing for most of the morning rush. Traffic back-ups eased by 11 a.m.
