14-year-old arrested for murder in park

NEW YORK (FOX5NY) - Police in New York City have arrested a 14-year-old boy who is accused of gunning down another teen at a Brooklyn basketball court.

Police say Aaron Nathaniel is the gunman who killed 16-year-old Timothy Oyebola at Chester Park.

The NYPD says the killing took place on Friday, September 21, at approximately 3:50 p.m.  Police say that Nathaniel was standing outside the park and fired two times into the park, hitting the 16-year-old in the head.

Oyebola was rushed to Brookdale Hospital but it was too late.  The Queens teen died at the hospital.

The NYPD arrested Nathaniel on Wednesday, October 3 at about 6:30 p.m.  He faces murder and weapons charges.
