10th annual "Summer Streets" program kicks off

New Yorkers hit the streets for some fun in the sun as the 10th annual Summer Streets program kicked off!

A stretch of Manhattan from East 72nd Street to City Hall was closed to cars between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m.

The Summer Streets program will continue the next two Saturdays, August 12 and 19.

Activities for this year’s program include a 270-foot waterslide at Foley Square, a water park at 71st Street, mini-golf, and a zip line at 53rd Street.
