There are so many wonderful things about Christmas: Beautiful lights, delicious food, presents, and, of course, spending time with the ones you love.

However, some things we just accept. The bowl of hard candy that’s congealed into a solid block of sugar is memorable, but for all the wrong reasons.

And Christmas nougats - those chewy, taffy-like, squishy peppermints – are quite mysterious.
