1 officer dead, 2 officers injured after shooting outside Washington DC

One police officer has died and two others were still recovering following a shooting outside Washington, D.C. Saturday night.

Prince William County Police Department in Virginia said late Saturday that Police Officer Ashley Guindon died as a result from her injuries sustained from a shooting outside Washington, D.C. Two other officers who were injured in the shooting are still being treated for their injuries, officials said.

The suspect was in custody but their identity has not yet been released.
