NYC weather: Warm temperatures near 70 before heavy rain, storms arrive
Unseasonably warm air is pushing temperatures into the low 70s across the New York City region, running up to 17 degrees warmer than earlier in the week. While scattered light showers move through parts of North Jersey and the tri-state area today, heavier rain and thunderstorms are expected to develop on Friday ahead of a cold front.
