The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) says antisemitic incidents across the United States hit an all-time high in 2023?with more than 10% of those cases reported in New York City. In its newly released annual report, the ADL recorded 1,437 antisemitic incidents in New York State alone, surpassing the previous record set the year before. Many of these occurred in public places and on college campuses. The ADL says the biggest spike followed the October 7, 2023 Hamas attacks in Israel, with more than half of the nationwide incidents tied to Israel-related rhetoric.
