Lauren Kreidler

Lauren Kreidler is an Emmy-nominated meteorologist for WNYW/FOX 5.

She has covered multiple hurricanes throughout her career, including Hurricanes Helene and Milton along Florida’s Gulf Coast.

Lauren’s passion for television news and meteorology began during her childhood in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, where she experienced the impact of hurricanes firsthand. At just 12 years old, she began job shadowing meteorologists at her local news station while still in middle school, an experience that helped spark her career in broadcast meteorology.

Before joining the FOX 5 team, Lauren spent more than three years as a meteorologist at WINK News in Southwest Florida. During her time there, she was named a finalist for the Florida News Awards.

Lauren began her career behind the scenes as a news production assistant in West Palm Beach while taking college classes.

Outside of work, Lauren loves exploring New York City with her dog, Chance, trying to find the best iced latte in the city, and spending time with her orange cat, Sunny.
