VIDEO: 'Corn'ado spins through North Texas field
FATE, Texas - An unusual sight was caught on camera in the city of Fate, in Rockwall County.
The city posted the video on its Facebook page. It shows a “corn"ado in a field near Interstate 30 Wednesday afternoon.
FOX 4 Meteorologist Evan Andrews said dust devils are common when you have very hot weather, a lot of sunshine and then light winds.
Some areas heat up more than others and you get rising motion, basically a low pressure over that one area. It starts spinning, moving and picking up dust, he said.
In this case, the dust devil was filled with corn husks.
