Van strikes pedestrians in Paterson, 1 dead

Police in Paterson, New Jersey are investigating after a van jumped the curb and struck two pedestrians, killing one and hospitalizing another.

NEW JERSEY - A van jumped a curb in Paterson on Thursday, striking two pedestrians and killing one.

Authorities say the incident happened around noon on Rosa Parks Boulevard.

One of the pedestrians was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
