Both teams are back for a rematch of Super Bowl XLIX in 2015, when the Patriots defeated the Seahawks and denied them the opportunity to win their second consecutive championship.

This year, both quarterbacks are making their first-ever appearance in the Super Bowl: New England Patriots QB Drake Maye and Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold.

Sunday’s contest could also turn into a defensive chess match between two elite head coaches in Seattle’s Mike Macdonald and New England’s Mike Vrabel.
The Patriots still hold the record for the most Super Bowl appearances. This is the Patriots’ 12th Super Bowl and the Seahawks' fourth.

Kick off is at 4:30 p.m. PT. Expect programming to kick off 30 minutes to an hour before that.

The Super Bowl is taking place at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Levi’s Stadium is home to the San Francisco 49ers. It’s the second time the Golden City has hosted the Big Game.

Who’s performing?
Green Day will perform in the first-ever Super Bowl pre-game show.
Charlie Puth is singing the national anthem, while Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny is doing the halftime show.

The broadcast will also feature performances from Brandi Carlisle (who'll perform "America the Beautiful") and R&B star Coco Jones (performing "Lift Every Voice and Sing"). Both performances will happen before kick-off.
