Singer Jennifer Nettles headlines Bryant Park's Give Back Gift Shop
NEW YORK (FOX5NY.COM) - The Give Back Gift Shop inside Bryant Park lets holiday shoppers see firsthand how one gift can change a life and help an entire community.
Country singer Jennifer Nettles has partnered with the humanitarian organization World Vision to bring charitable giving to New York through the shop, which is open until Wednesday night. Jennifer is putting together hygiene kits that will shipped to those in need.
At this gift shop, there are so many ways to give. With a donation of $100, you'll receive a bracelet designed by actress Patricia Heaton.
You can sponsor a child or even give an animal like a cow or rooster. For example, the gift of one goat which costs $85, provides a family with up to 16 cups of milk a day.
If you're thinking that the gift of an animal sounds like a big commitment, think again. Gifts range from $16 to $50,000. Last year, more than 144,000 people got involved and donated.
