A manhunt has ended in Louisiana after a man with a violent criminal history was arrested for an alleged stabbing spree that left four people dead and a child critically injured.
Authorities say it happened Saturday in Terrebonne Parish.

What we know:
According to the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the 200 block of Ashland Drive and found a juvenile suffering from multiple stab wounds. The minor was airlifted to an out-of-area hospital in critical condition.
As investigators searched the area, they found "multiple victims" in nearby homes. At least four people were killed, the sheriff’s office confirmed in a social media post.
Police identified Kaegan Jude Solet, 47, of Houma, as a person of interest. He was later apprehended in connection with the murders.

The backstory:
According to Fox News Digital, Solet was arrested in December 2019 after allegedly stabbing a 59-year-old woman repeatedly and leaving her locked inside a Houma motel room, police said at the time.
