Fireworks light up sky over Westchester County
NEW YORK (FOX 5 NEWS) - Fireworks lit up the clear night sky in Westchester County Monday night. The annual Independence Day celebration at Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla drew an estimated 20,000 people.
A lot of people gathered at the site since early Monday afternoon. They said the best part of this holiday is being able to spend it with family and friends.
I made some new friends and even got lucky playing corn hole.
For many, this event has now become a tradition. One man told us he has been coming to the same spot for at least 15 years.
Security was tight. Whether on the ground or in the sky, in uniform or undercover, police officers were out in full force making sure everyone was safe.
