A man wanted for firing a gun at a hospital in upstate New York and later at police officers has been captured, the NYPD said.

Authorities in New York City took Joshua Stuart, 42, into custody Monday afternoon in Brooklyn.

He is accused of firing a gun around 1 a.m. on Friday at Ellenville Regional Hospital, in the Catskill Mountains about 75 miles southwest of Albany. No one was hurt.

Stuart then drove away from the hospital, authorities said. The Department of Environmental Police caught up with him about three miles away. He then fired at least four shots and ran into a nearby wooded area, police said.

The NYPD said Stuart was later spotted in Brooklyn where he allegedly robbed a store clerk.
