A dating and social mobile app for dog lovers

People nowadays hardly have the time or energy to invest in a search for Mr. or Mrs Right. And if their pet is also a priority sometimes, the dating pool is significantly narrowed.

So what's a guy or gal to do? Well, sniff. Adam Pokornicky sniffed out this idea: dating and a love of dogs. He engineered an app appropriately named "Sniffer." It is a nod to the (ahem) ease in which dogs often interact.

Sniffer is a Tinder for dog lovers. It's a social discovery app to meet dog lovers nearby for whatever you want: friends, date with someone who loves dogs the way you do.

It is a simple idea spun from Adam's existing platform, DoggyBnB, which connects dog sitters. He tested the theory on other dating apps, setting up a bogus account.

Swipes and likes because of Fifi and Fido: Sniffer makes matches based on your existing social connections.

A blue button in the middle is the "wag" button, similar to Tinder's super "like." But on Sniffer, the proceeds go to six local rescues, further promoting the dog community.

Sniffer isn't the first of its kind but it is hoping to change your game of fetch for love and loyalty.

Sniffer hopes to eventually expand to include features of alerting users who is at their dog park. They ultimately also hope to add a foster feature to promote fostering dogs.
