8 New York restaurants on America's 'most romantic' list

NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - Need some help making dinner plans for Valentine's Day? Restaurant reservation service OpenTable has compiled a list of 100 Most Romantic Restaurants in America, and New York is well-represented on the list with eight eateries. Connecticut and New Jersey each have two restaurants on the list.

OpenTable generated the list from more than 5 million restaurant reviews between December 7, 2014, and December 6, 2015. It based its choices on restaurants that had a minimum "overall" score and which diners selected "romantic" as a special feature.

The list is alphabetical instead of ranked, so no restaurant is necessarily more romantic than any other on the list.

The New York restaurants:

La Cremaillere Restaurant, Bedford

Rainbow Room Dinner & Dancing, Manhattan

River Café, Brooklyn

Russell’s Steaks, Chops, and More, Williamsville

TS Steakhouse at Turning Stone, Verona

Yono’s Restaurant, Albany

Zenkichi, Brooklyn

The New Jersey restaurants:

Café Matisse, Rutherford

Peter Shields Inn, Cape May

The Connecticut restaurants:

ON20, Hartford

Thomas Henkelmann-Homestead Inn, Greenwich
