VIDEO: Cops save suicidal man from Manhattan Bridge

NYPD Emergency Services Unit cops rescued a distraught man who was threatening to jump from the Manhattan Bridge early Wednesday morning.

The department posted dramatic video of the rescue on Twitter. It shows a 22-year-old man, wearing red pants, standing on a railing and facing away from the bridge. He was on the outside of the safety fence

Police said that officers talked to the man for about a half hour while they cut a hole in the fence. 

The video shows several officers standing behind him on the bridge as another officer climbs onto the outside railing and approaches the man. The officers then grab the man and pull him to safety.

The man was not hurt. He was talem to a hospital for evaluation, police said.
