Talent incubates at The Compound

NEW YRK (FOX 5 NEWS) - Fox 5 visited The Compound in the Mott Haven section of The Bronx. Parked inside an industrial building, surrounded by the hum of cars and the attitude of the city, they are flowing to a new beat rooted in a different time.

Beginning in the 1960s Andy Warhol had the Factory. It was hip spot for artists. It was the birthplace of inspiration. The Compound was designed with the same mindset.

I'm told that today isn't different than most others. The space is alive. Still photographers catch the moment. There are projects being hashed out. Hip hop artist Jim Jones connects with a rising star. It's organic.

Annalise Azadian is the name. She is singer song writer schooled at Berklee in Boston and managed by DJ Enuff. She is taking full advantage of wrap-around services: branding, recording, connections -- one stop.

Jones and DJ Set Free go back. It is relationships like this that make the place work. We listened to Jones' new project the Kitchen.
