Students' designs help children in hospital

Students in Lynbrook High School's Advance Design and Innovation Class are using 3D printing technology to develop a series of prototype adaptive devices solving a range of challenges for patients at St. Mary's Hospital for Children.

From a modified iPad stylus design to a colorful puzzle, some inventions target specific motor skills, while others offer a welcome distraction as these kids undergo challenging therapies and treatments.

And as the patients enjoy the new products and gadgets, the Lynbrook High students are equally joyful as their innovations change the lives of these deserving children.
