Rare pink dolphin spotted in Louisiana

An extremely rare, all-pink dolphin initially spotted in 2009 has reportedly been seen again in a lake in southwest Louisiana. This time, 'Pinky'- as she was dubbed- may be pregnant. Pink dolphins are not native to the United States. They can be found in the Amazon River, according to the World Wildlife Fund.  'Pinky' got her name when she was first spotted by Capt. Erik Rue of Calcasieu Charter Service. He recently told a local TV station that he saw 'Pinky' mating. The dolphin's pink color is believed to be the result of a genetic abnormality.
