Neighbors of the Nebraska family that lost a toddler to an alligator attack in Florida have come together to show their support in this trying time.

Several residents of Elkhorn, where the Graves family lives, have attached blue ribbons to trees, mailboxes, gates, and homes in tribute to Lane Graves, 2, who died when a gator at Walt Disney World dragged him into a lake.

Jeff Nichols, a neighbor, said he and others in the community wanted to show the Graves family that they are thinking about them.

"As a neighborhood, we hope that they just feel the love, basically of how much we care about them," Nichols said.

Locals are working with a church to organize events to help the family.
