NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - Police in New York City are looking for five young men in connection with an attack and robbery in Brooklyn.
The NYPD says it happened about 5:10 p.m. on Friday, May 10, 2019 at Chestnut St. and Glenmore Ave. in East New York.
A 38-year-old man was walking down the sidewalk when he was approached from behind by the group. They pushed him to the ground and began to punch and kick him in the head and body.
Police say they stole his wallet and slashed him in the head, causing a severe laceration. EMS took the man to a hospital for treatment of his wounds. His condition was unknown.
The man had about $60 in his wallet.
Police released video of the suspects and their descriptions. The individuals wanted for questioning are described as:
Individual #1: Black, late teens or early 20s, last seen wearing a dark hoodie and tan pants.
Individual #2: Black, late teens or early 20s, last seen wearing a gray hoodie with dark pants.
Individual #3: Hispanic, late teens or early 20s, last seen wearing all dark clothing.
Individual #4: Black, late teens or early 20s, last seen wearing a dark hoodie and blue pants.
Individual #5: Black, late teens or early 20s, last seen wearing a purple hoodie and tan pants.
Surveillance photo and video of the individual was taken from the incident location, during the incident.
