Facebook outage reported

NEW YORK (FOX5Ny - Users across the United States reported having problems accessing Facebook on Friday.

The issues started shortly after noon on the East Coast.

A site that monitors websites outages showed a widespread outage across North America and Europe.

People took to Twitter to complain about the outage.

The site started coming back online around 12:30 p.m. EDT.
