DG Baby Gripe Water recalled

Kingston Pharma LLC is voluntarily recalling all lots of DG Baby Gripe Water herbal supplement with organic ginger and fennel extracts because of an undissolved ingredient that could be hard to swallow, the company announced.

The company said it had received one report of a 1-week-old infant having trouble swallowing the Gripe Water and three complaints regarding the undissolved ingredient, which is citrus flavonoid.

The product is packaged in 4-ounce amber bottles with white plastic caps with safety seals and an oral syringe. The UPC is 8 5495400246 3.

Dollar General Corporation sold the DG Baby Gripe Water throughout the United States. Kingston Pharma is advising consumers to stop using the product and throw it out.

"Consumers should contact their physician or healthcare provider if they or their child have experienced any problems that may be related to taking or using this product," the company said in a news release.
