Camping in style and comfort by the beach in Queens

What do you have when you go camping but with a glamorous twist? Answer: "Glamping."

A peaceful oasis is located in Queens -- in Breezy Point's Fort Tilden, which on the National Register of Historic Places.

A company called Terra Glamping created the concept and brought the pop-up to Queens. CEO Rebecca Martin said each 12-by-14 safari tent has a queen-sized bed with a memory foam mattress, fine linens, and rugs.

This glamping event is the first of its kind in New York City. The tents will be here for the next 40 nights. A weeknight costs $200 per tent. Weekends are $225. Each of the five tents accommodates two adults.

Staff is always on site, as well.

David Levine, Rebecca's partner, said the experience is like staying at a four-star hotel but you're outside and can hear the ocean all night.

No need to fumble around the woods to use a bathroom. You can even get a hot shower.

While you can't drink alcohol here, you can bring your own food for the grill. And plenty of places to get food and drinks are nearby.

As for Wi-Fi? Rebecca says you'll be off the grid, but they do provide phone chargers because you do get cell service here.

The best part of this experience is the location. You are just a two-minute walk away from the beach.

Tents are still available but something tells me that won't last for long.
