Gunman kills 3 in the Bronx

Shots rang out just before 10 a.m. Thursday in front of the RKM card and Gift shop on Castle Hill Avenue in the Bronx.

A gunman walked right up to two men and a woman, who appears to have been an innocent bystander, and shot them point blank.

NYPD Assistant Chief Jason Wilcox said responding officers found two men shot in the head and a woman shot in the torso.

The NYPD identified the victims as Mustafa Tarver, 33, Christopher Alleyne, 33, and Arileida Jimenez, 45. All three were pronounced dead at Jacobi Medical Center.

A man who was collecting cans in the neighborhood said one of the male victims tried to escape the gunfire and ran toward a 24-hour deli, where he collapsed.

Police officers were on nearby rooftops canvassing the crime scene, looking for any clues that could lead them to the gunman who ran toward the Castle Hill Houses. Wilcox said the suspected shooter fled on foot toward Randall Avenue.

One of the male victims had breakfast at his regular spot, the Shore Haven Diner, just before the shooting. A waitress said she saw him minutes before he was shot and killed.
