6 armed customers confront shoplifters

Armed customers at a Washington state store confronted and shot at two shoplifting suspects.

It happened on Dec. 22, 2018 at the Coastal Farm & Ranch Store on State Ave. in Marysville.  Police say two men tried to steal nail guns from the store.

Six shoppers followed the shoplifters out of the store, drew their guns and confronted them in the parking lot.  They surrounded the suspects' car and fired shots at the tires when the driver took off towards one of them.

Police say no one was hurt.

The car was found a few blocks away.  Police used K-9s to track the suspects.  They eventually arrested the 22-year-old and 23-year-old suspects.

Marysville Police believe that at least two civilians fired at the shoplifters or their car as it was fleeing but left before police arrived.  They are asking them to come forward to provide a statement as to what they saw.
