Edward Burns of 'Public Morals'

Long Island's own Edward Burns is back on TV with a new crime drama called "Public Morals" on TNT. It's about a mob family and a cop family. Burns says the show was inspired by his own family -- his father and uncle were cops. Burns -- an actor, director, and writer -- originally conceived of the story as a feature film many years ago while shooting "Saving private Ryan," but he couldn't get it made. With Steve Spielberg's help, Burns brought the story to life as a television series. "Public Morals" airs Tuesday nights on TNT at 10 P.M.
